A-Type Couplings
Type -A quick disconnects feature a "push to connect" design, so there is no need to slide or hold the operating ring. Gas flow begins as soon as the components are joined and stops on separation. Thermal shutoff provided by a polymer ring in the nipple which melts at 350° F, allowing a heavy duty spring in the coupling to shut off the gas supply.
